Before my last semester at BYU-Idaho started, Denae and I went on a
camping adventure. After seeing my friend Kate's beautiful pictures of
her camping trip - I immediately wanted to go. I regret not taking more
photos and bring hand sanitizer. I have never been so dirty and gross in
my life. Some of the highlights of our trip:
Ranger Rod (whose
real name we do not know) who we thought was going to kill us in our
sleep. Not being able to start a fire and only having a small lighter
half the size of my pinky. Saying a prayer and the fire starting and
last until the next morning. Eating some of the best hot dogs in the
entire world. Substituting mint oreos for toothpaste. Having our camping
neighbors be a boyscout group who happened to have brought a chainsaw.
Who brings a chainsaw while camping? We weren't complaining cause we got
more wood out of it. Hearing the leaders of the group say, "the girl
scouts were able to start a fire, how come you haven't?". Experiencing
one of the coldest nights/mornings of my life! Going into a slap
happy/dehydrated state because of the lack of water we had.
Great way to
start my semester!
